Top Wedding Dresses - Popular 1920s Style Dresses

Friday, November 7, 2014
The top fashions for this falls wedding season are very diverse. As you all should know styles from the 1920's era was all made of similar things. Typical wedding dresses were either fabric or lace along with all over beading or just beading on the sash or veil. Now the patterns were traditionally flower patterns throughout the whole dress. The lengths also vary because in the early 1920's the long trumpet dresses and were used at floor length.
Towards the mid 1920's and the ending the shorter tea lengths and ankle lengths were more popular. So using dresses from the Davids bridal website David's Bridal here are styles that will be very popular this fall for the 1920's look.
Enter the style codes at the website to view photos of the dresses described below.

1. Style number: YP9983
This dress is the more of the mid 20's kind. Strapless contemporary lace style dress with floral patterns along the entire dress. The gown is slightly beaded with pearls and is tea length. It has a beautiful dress colored satin sash to add to the waist. For this dress accessories can be small simple pearl studs for earrings and a 16 inch pearl necklace. For add on a satin clutch in dress or sash color will look great. A Harlow style satin peep toe shoe will add the glam but keep the class in the dress I suggest no more then 3.5 inches you don't want to be uncomfortable or too tall. A comb for your head piece typically a medium white flower with some pearls or stones added to it will look great and highlight your face. For the veil a short 25 blush veil will be great so it does not take away from the head piece and looks good. The dress will cost from 500.00-600.00 depending your size.

2. Style number: S8551

This is a classic style dress its a strapless trumpet gown made of lace fabric. It is a floral pattern and is all over beaded with an empire waist and a sweep train. Accessorizing with a wristlet of you color choice will be a great accessory. Silver chandelier earrings with a pearl and a silver 16 inch chain with multiple pearls circling around it. For shoes Gail style is great a strappy satin shoe with 2.5 inch heel and adjustable ankle strap trimmed with rhinestones. A one tier chapel length veil catches the eye and highlights the dress. A more affordable dress at the price of 400.00.

3. Style number: T9612

A timeless style dress made of lace fabric. V neck trumpet gown with capped sleeves and allover beading. A floral pattern with empire waist and a chapel train about four feet down below the waist. The back has a deep v down towards the middle of your back. For accessories a 16 inch crystal necklace with single pearl and chandelier crystal earrings with single pearl to sparkle. A sliver crystal and pearl mix bracelet with adjustable latch. Jada style 3 inch satin peep toe shoes in a shade or two darker then your wedding dress to pop. A one tier cathedral length veil beaded edges add a bit more to the look or a simple satin trim. The pricing is from 800.00-850.00 depending on sizes.

Price ranges from 400.00-450.00 depending on sizes.

5. Style number: CWG324

Best for last this is the top elegant style traditional early 1920's gown. A strapless tulle fit and flare gown made of lace fabrics. Very detailed lace appliques and a sweep train. The dress comes with a coordinating long sleeve lace jacket for coverage making it very elegant 1920's style. Accessories like petite rhinestone studs and rhinestone chain with 7 stones bring the shine to the older fashion and add to the glam. Daisies style ivory lace shoe with 3 inch heel and cut away side. A satin clutch with knot or bow is perfect for this dress. As for the veil only a long chapel length veil will work with satin or metallic trim and to finish off the perfect look with a head piece a rhinestone mid tiara does the trick. This dress is much more expensive then the rest at 1,150.00

Spring Flower Girl Dresses

Sunny Fashion Little Girls' Dress White Pearl

Tulle Layers Flower Girl

While flower girls look adorable in any dress, the latest styles today range anywhere from tutus to slip dresses. While planning for my April wedding, I've come across some great new trends for dressing the youngest of my entourage.
Traditionally, the flower girl was dressed to match the bride - in white or ivory. Here are three modern takes on spring flower girl dresses:
What better way to celebrate your spring wedding than by replicating the wonderful pink hues of the season? The "Cotton Candy" dress by Little Flowers by Odssey features an over-sized tiered pink back sash/bustle over a lighter cotton candy colored silk ball gown.
What little girl doesn't want to look like a princess out of a storybook? Well, Princess Blossoms by Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings has unveiled their line of flowergirl dresses inspired by the Disney Princesses. There are styles to mimic Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, and Jasmine. One of my favorites, the Cinderella dress, features two rows of blue piping at the waist and a bow and flower at the center back. Constructed in organza and satins, Disney's Princess Blossoms dresses are indisputably charming.
Lastly, there's an update on the traditional satin waist ribbon to match your accent colors. This dress from Sweet Beginnings highlights a satin ribbon with attached flowers flowing down the back. These sweet flowered accents help her live up to her title.
Whatever style you are searching for, with all the latest trends in the next year, you are sure to find the perfect frock to make your flower girl feel like an important part of the wedding procession. Jennifer Martino Trosclair.
